Kenneth Evans has long been drawn to the spectacle of large sailing yachts — their towering rigs, the tension of canvas under load, and the way light plays across hull and water when a vessel is pressed hard on the wind.
These paintings explore that drama in oil, working from observation and reference gathered at regattas and on the water along the New England coast and beyond.
